And I would guess that the anchor, Robyn Zimmerman, did this as a favor to someone, or maybe even a high-paying client, who is associated with Witnesses.
I agree with MilliennialDawn! Here is a bio on anchor Robyn Zimmerman. Since she was in Marketing and Public Relations, she did someone a favor for having Robert Hendriks on for a ''puff'' interview about the Jehovah's Witnesses. It looks like it was rehearsed to death. The interview was too polished on her end, and Mr. Hendriks gave typical cult answers. I would never of thought I would see the day the Watchtower Society turn into a Televangelist religion.

STUDY ARTICLE 31
âBe Steadfast, Immovableâ
9 Subtle pressures. Satan uses âcrafty actsâ in addition to blatant frontal attacks. (Eph. 6:11) Take the example of a brother named Bob, who was hospitalized for major surgery. He informed the doctors that under no circumstances would he accept a blood transfusion. The surgeon agreed to respect his decision. However, on the night before the surgery, the anesthesiologist paid Bob a visit after his family had gone home. He told Bob that blood would likely not be given but that they would have it on hand just in case it was needed. Perhaps the doctor thought that Bob would change his mind without his family around. But Bob remained steadfast, stating that he was not to be given blood under any circumstances.
Here is faithful brother Bob! He needs major surgery. He tells his doctors that he's a Jehovah's Witness, and refuses a blood transfusion if needed during surgery. The surgeon respects his decision for no blood during surgery.
Now, Satan steps in to try to change Bob's mind about taking blood. Satan ( using crafty acts) has the ''anesthesiologist'' pay Bob a visit. He tells Bob that blood will be on hand in case it will be needed. Bob remains steadfast.
Can the Watchtower Society explain how Satan gets involved in Bob's situation? How does Satan get this Doctor to do his dirty work about taking blood? Can Satan be this powerful that he uses every circumstance to make every Jehovah's Witness disloyal to Jehovah?
I don't believe in Satan and had a hard time as a Jehovah's Witness, that Satan had as much power as Jehovah!

As a never been a JW my mind boggles that grown men and women are somehow bent into a mindset to consider being " allowed " to hold a microphone is a privilege.Eleven years I started a thread about not even being allowed to be a pallbearer at my uncle's funeral. It has continued even to this day. My aunt passed away this February and I wasn't ( ONCE AGAIN) allowed to carry her casket into a funeral car 50 ft. away. All the pallbearers were all Jehovah's Witnesses. Not one nephew, grandson was asked.
The ''petty'' Elder with his stupid rules.

RULES & REGULATIONS
If you don't measure up to the Watchtower Society ''high standards''... you might lose some ''special privileges''
miss meetings...lose ''privileges''
don't meet the monthly 10 hour ''field service'' ...lose ''privileges''
not ''spiritual'' enough...lose ''privileges''
What are some ''privileges'' that can be taken away from you?... passing the microphone...working the literature counter...offering congregation prayers...book study conductor...read the Watchtower from the platform...work the sound and music board.
I lost many of these ''privileges'' due to missing too many meetings and low ''field service'' hours. Since I haven't been to any meetings in over 10 years, I've noticed that my old congregation elders have an unwritten rule, where only baptized Jehovah's Witnesses are considered for pallbearer duties. I have been taken off as a pallbearer for all my close family funerals. Everyone that is asked to be a pallbearer are all baptized Jehovah's Witnesses.
What a bunch of ''petty'' men the Watchtower Society turned out to be!

STUDY ARTICLE 31
âBe Steadfast, Immovableâ
11 At times, we might reason that the direction Jehovah gives us is not sufficient. We might even be tempted to âgo beyond the things that are written.â (1 Cor. 4:6) The religious leaders in Jesusâ day were guilty of this sin. By adding man-made rules to the Law, they imposed a heavy burden on the common people. (Matt. 23:4) Jehovah gives us clear direction through his Word and through his organization. We have no reason to add to the instruction he provides. (Prov. 3:5-7) Therefore, we do not go beyond what is written in the Bible or make rules for fellow believers about personal matters.
Paragraph 11 is a joke. The whole Watchtower Society religion is nothing but a man-made rule religion. ''No beards'' are just one of many man-made rules that are placed on brothers. Banning facial hair ( you can grow a small mustache) is an easy way to separate the compliant from the non-compliant. It's the Societies way to control the lives of the common people.
Watchtower publications never show a brother with a beard. How many beards do you see at this Watchtower study?
Specific instructions are given on ''dress and grooming'' for brothers in congregations, assemblies and conventions.
"For men, a neat personal appearance may include being clean-shaven. In areas where mustaches are widely viewed as dignified, any who wear these should keep them neatly trimmed." Benefit From Theocratic Ministry School Education (2001) p.133
Criminals and pirates are shown shaving off the beards after they learn about Jehovah in ''paradise earth.''
The Watchtower Society ''DO'' go beyond what is written in the Bible. They ''do'' bind their ''human rules'' on their fellow believers.

RULES & REGULATIONS
The last Circuit Assembly I attended was 13 years ago. I went home all riled up after listening to a dramatization on ''higher education.''
There were 2 sisters who got up and gave a dramatization about the ''evils'' about going to college. I will paraphrase as best as I can.
High School Counselor: ''Have a seat Karen! I will show you all the College applications I have for you.''
Sister: ''Thank you for all the work you have done.''
Counselor: '' I have an application from Harvard, one from Michigan University, and a couple from the East Coast.''
Sister: '' I have done a lot of thinking and decided not to go to any College."
Counselor: ''Karen, you have a 4.0 grade average and scored very high on the A.C.T. and you would have no problem getting into any of these schools."
Sister: '' As you know, I'm a Jehovah's Witness and we believe that we are near the ''end times.'' I decided that I will go into the preaching work part time and maybe go to a 2 year school."
Counselor: ''You will probably get into these schools at almost no cost because of your 4.0 average and high A.C.T. scores and have a good career the rest of your life. These are great schools and will prepare you to land a good job.''
Sister: ''This world is passing by and may not be here any longer. I decided to enter the ministry work and Jehovah God will provide for me in the future."
Everyone applauded except me. That was really sad to see!

RULES & REGULATIONS
Jesus said:
"Be careful not to do your acts of righteousness before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven." - Matthew 6:1These robotic Elders are more concerned about the Shepherd book than any scripture taught by Jesus. The whole family is judged by sinful men. The Society is bothered by the daughters getting a higher education than the congregation. Not one scripture is sighted about higher education. Manmade rules by a manmade religion!

Jeffrey Jackson: Too much excitement got in the way for the ''false dates''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inannual meeting 2019âtalks and 2020 year textthe governing body members are nothing but a bunch of weasels.
here is a talk by jeffrey jackson on how the governing body ''the slave class'' has remained spiritually awake over 100 years and alerted its members.. he looks back on the ''faithful and discreet slaves'' false dates over the 100 years: '' but at times, we look back over 100 years, and there were times they got excited about a certain year or time, and the end didn't come at that time.''.
he makes the comparison between the ''slave class ( who disappointed others when the end didn't come ) to a barking watchdog ( who in his enthusiasm barks at nothing in the middle of the night and wakes up the owner).

The only significance that was ever implied was that it could mark the year when Jehovah would finally bring about the end of the current system of things and usher in the new world under divine governance.Great Post TonusOH! Here is the article where they make that implication:

- Why Are You Looking Forward to 1975?
ADAM CREATED AT CLOSE OF âSIXTH DAYâ
30. What may occur before 1975, but what attitude should we take?
30 Are we to assume from this study that the battle of Armageddon will be all over by the autumn of 1975, and the long-looked-for thousand-year reign of Christ will begin by then? Possibly, but we wait to see how closely the seventh thousand-year period of manâs existence coincides with the sabbath like thousand-year reign of Christ. If these two periods run parallel with each other as to the calendar year, it will not be by mere chance or accident but will be according to Jehovahâs loving and timely purposes. Our chronology, however, which is reasonably accurate (but admittedly not infallible), at the best only points to the autumn of 1975 as the end of 6,000 years of manâs existence on earth. It does not necessarily mean that 1975 marks the end of the first 6,000 years of Jehovahâs seventh creative âday.â Why not? Because after his creation Adam lived some time during the âsixth day,â which unknown amount of time would need to be subtracted from Adamâs 930 years, to determine when the sixth seven-thousand-year period or âdayâ ended, and how long Adam lived into the âseventh day.â And yet the end of that sixth creative âdayâ could end within the same Gregorian calendar year of Adamâs creation. It may involve only a difference of weeks or months, not years.
